[Despite his wishes for her to get some rest, Ryder stays awake and on alert for a good while, sitting close to the window so she can look up and down the street and see what might be coming. Nothing much. As worried as she is, even she can't keep herself from getting bored, and all those emotions from earlier have her wanting to crash pretty hard. Well... It's what he wants...and he did promise he was going to careful. With a grumble and a huff, Ryder stuffs down those unsettled feelings where she doesn't have to examine them too closely and curls up. It's not a very restful sleep, with her jolting awake and searching for danger even though the night is so much more still and quiet than it had been hours before, but it's more than nothing.
It's not until his knock that she finally cracks the door open. He isn't greeted with the delight he may have been getting used to, but she does smile for him, at least. A weary, relieved sort of smile.]
