[The way her eyes widen, seeing it makes his smile widen to match, teeth showing on the other side so he looks just slightly less lopsided. Her delight is a gift. That he can help bring it out is even more of one.

He'd hate to know she feels guilty. That's not something he meant for. He only knows that he hasn't checked this place as thoroughly and wouldn't want that to come back around and bite her... literally.

[He doesn't sleep on the bed this time, as much as that's been a luxury this past while. He's still pretty filthy from the slaughter at the apartment. He settles on the floor, sitting up and leaning in a corner where the wall meets a dresser.

His dreams are less of an adventure, but he's okay with that. He hasn't enjoyed many of the "adventures" he's embarked on. He feels himself floating somewhere in between asleep and awake. Although he appreciates the rest, her arrival is much more welcome.

When the door opens and she scoots in, his grin stretches wide. He gets to his feet.]
