He lets it out in one hefty exhale as the man and a second waitress return with stamped and tied boxes resembling birthday gifts done up in high end shops. A third waiter brings the tab.]

And he hopes that Ryder can handle the tab part at least-- one thing about his job was that it wasn't his job to pay for things through the night and so he didn't tend to bring money. He can, at least, start piling the boxes on her behalf to carry out of the restaurant. With any luck, they can be making their getaway straight out those doors...]
